Ben Nicholas BVSc CertAVP MRCVS
Clinical Director
Ben holds the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) and he is studying for a further qualification in small animal medicine. Ben enjoys spending time with his wife, young family and their animals. He can occasionally be found hill walking with old friends!
Tom Beale BVSc MRCVS
Director
Tom graduated from Bristol in 2006 and worked in South Wales before joining Luxstowe Vets in 2010. He enjoys all aspects small animal practice, but has a particular interest in surgery. In his spare time Tom enjoys spending time with his young family and cycling when he gets the chance.
Fiona Pugh BSc(hons) RVN CVLM
Practice Manager
Fiona qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2003 and graduated from Bristol University in 2004. Fiona began working at Luxstowe in 2005. In 2015 Fiona took on some of the administration of the practice and became Practice Manager in 2018. Outside of work Fiona enjoys spending time with her young family.
Erin Beale BVSc MRCVS
Vet
Erin graduated from Bristol in 2005 and joined Luxstowe in June 2017. She enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, but particularly enjoys surgery.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her young family and playing netball.
Sue Hassan BVSc BSc MRCVS
Vet
Sue qualified in 1995 and started at Luxstowe Vets in 2017. Sue enjoys all aspects of surgical procedures.
In her spare time you will find Sue participating in all sorts of water-sports, walking her dog or attending live music events.
Anna Pescod BVetMed MRCVS
Vet
Anna qualified in 2017 and joined Luxstowe Vets later the same year. Anna has a keen interest in medical cases.
Anna enjoys attending fun charity dog shows, playing video games, listening to music and walking her dog Haru.
Jo Long
Vet
Jo qualified from Edinburgh Vet School in 1999. Jo has worked permanently at Luxstowe Vets since 2022 after coming to us as a Locum in 2021.
Jo enjoys horse riding, dog walks and spending time with her husband and their three children.

Jenna graduated from Bristol in 2022 and started at Luxstowe Vets the same year. Out of work Jenna spends a lot of time outdoors and loves dancing, cooking and dog walks on the beach.
Harriet Wastnage MRCVS
Vet
Harriet graduated from Bristol in 2023. She is looking forward to developing interests and skills in all areas of small animal practise. Outside of work Harriet enjoys sea-swimming, cycling and baking.
Claire
Head Nurse
Claire qualified as a RVN in 2014 and joined Luxstowe the same year. She is now one of our Head Nurses alongside Jenny. Claire particularly enjoys inpatient nursing and all aspects of medical care as well as anaesthesia. Claire is also currently studying for a Certificate in 'Medical Nursing'
When not working Claire enjoys being outdoors with her dog 'Sampson' or spending time with her horses.Jenny

Jenny is one of our Head Nurses and started working at Luxstowe as a student nurse in 2011. She qualified in 2014 and is now a clinical coach. She enjoys all aspects of Veterinary Nursing and is enjoying learning more about orthopaedics. Outside of work Jenny loves going for walks with her dog Dougie.

Rachel qualified in 2003 and has worked at Luxstowe Vets since 2005. Rachel loves all aspects of her job and has a keen interest in wildlife and exotics, especially hedgehogs.
When not at work, you can find Rachel on various beaches around Cornwall collecting sea glass with her two boys.
Georgia
Nurse
Georgia qualified in November 2017 and started at Luxstowe Vets in March 2018.
In her spare time you can find Georgia helping her partner on their farm, spending time with her son, with her horse Max or walking her two dogs.
Lindsey
Nurse
Lindsey started her nursing training here in 2015 and qualified in 2018. She has a particular interest in in-patient nursing and has a particular soft spot for our feline patients.
Outside of work Lindsey loves to travel and explore new places, as well as walking the Cornish coast path.
Charlotte
Nurse
Charlotte is an RVN who qualified in 2020 after completing three years training at Luxstowe vets.
She worked briefly at another practice before returning to Luxstowe in 2022, where she is now a clinical coach to student Amy.
Her particular interests are the maintenance and monitoring of anaesthesia, and enjoys lab work.
When she isn't at work she can usually be found with her Labrador Millie exploring Cornwall, swimming in the sea or riding her horse Trevor.Cara

Cara qualified in 2018 and started at Luxstowe Vets in October 2021. Cara enjoys emergency and critical care.
In her spare time she loves spending time renovating classic cars and walking her dogs Lexi and Fly.

Sally qualified in 2001 and has worked at Luxstowe for over 20 years!! Sally enjoys all aspects of her job role.
Sally enjoys spending time with husband and their two children. She loves going away in their caravan and baking.Amanda

Amanda qualified in 2017 and has worked at Luxstowe Vets since 2022. Amanda has advanced certificates in zoo animals and small mammals and is currently undertaking a certificate in wildlife.

Aidy trained in London and qualified in 2021. She loves how varied the veterinary nurse role is but have a particular interest in inpatient care and nurse clinics.
Outside of work Aidy enjoys traveling, live music and spending time in the countryside or by the sea. Aidy has a cat called Simon who is very spoilt.

Student Nurse
Amy began working at Luxstowe vets as an Animal Nursing Assistant in October 2021, but since September 2022 has been training as a Student Veterinary Nurse. Amy loves all aspects of the job, everyday is different and she is constantly learning new things.
Outside of work she loves spending time at her allotment, sea swimming and all water sports as well as exploring Cornwall with Cocker Spaniel Huey.

Animal Nursing Assistant
Sian started at Luxstowe Vets in 2021 as a Receptionist. She then went on maternity leave and returned in 2023 as a Animal Nursing Assistant.
In her spare time Sian likes to spend time with her young son and dog Goose.

Animal Nursing Assistant
Kat has worked at Luxstowe Vets since 2022. Kat is one of two nursing assistants we have here.
Kat enjoys days out at the beach with her Cockapoo Bella.
Lucy
Office Manager
Lucy has worked at Luxstowe Vets since September 2014 and is our only team member who is a Registered Veterinary Receptionist (RVR).
In her spare time she competes in agility with her Poodle crosses, Arlo and Huey. She also loves to spend time with her nieces and nephews.
Tegan

Tegan has worked at Luxstowe Vets since 2018 and her main job role is stock control.
Tegan has a passion for travel and fitness. She enjoys long beach walks with her husband and dog Nuala.
Dawn
Reception
Dawn started at Luxstowe Vets in 2009 and can always be found welcoming clients on the front desk.
Dawn loves to spend time with her grandchildren, gaming on her computer and cuddling her rescue cats. She is always in her garden feeding the birds and hedgehogs.

Ria started at Luxstowe Vets in September 2016. Ria's main job role is the banking and accounts.
In her spare time she loves to spend time with her son and two dogs Rosie and Teddy. Ria also enjoys camping trips with her family and interior design.
Holly
Reception
Holly has been a receptionist at Luxstowe Vets since 2019. Holly enjoys the every days tasks associated with being a receptionist but especially enjoys working on the emails when needed.
Holly has a keen passion in the beauty industry and loves adventures with her two young boys.
Louise
Reception
Louise joined the reception team in 2019 being another of our crazy cat ladies, enjoying the feline and small animal aspects of the role.
Outside of work Louise enjoys countryside and coastal walks with her small dog Archie and camping with her family and friends.Libby
Reception
Libby has been a Receptionist here since 2021. Libby loves being a receptionist as every day is different but her favourite part is meeting all of our patients, especially when they want a cuddle.
In her spare time she loves walking and agility training with her dog Dottie. As well as a dog, Libby has a crazy cat called Derek and a horse called Farrow who has been her pride and joy for the past 11 years.Siobhan

Siobhan has worked at Luxstowe Vets since 2018. She works across two branches and her roles are different in each. In Torpoint Siobhan enjoys the variety between reception work, animal assistant to the vet and maintaining stock levels. In Liskeard she loves the team spirit and the busy waiting room.
In her spare time Siobhan enjoys walking her dogs with her husband, spending time with her daughters and catching up with friends.

Kerry has worked at Luxstowe since 2018. Kerry mostly works at our Torpoint surgery and she loves that she lives and works in the place that she grew up.
Kerry loves spending time with the people she loves, dog walking, keeping fit, being outdoors & travelling to sunny destinations.
Karen
Reception
Karen started at Luxstowe Vets in 2018 and enjoys her split receptionist role between our Looe and Liskeard surgeries. Karen particularly likes welcoming clients into our surgeries and meeting their pets.
Karen has a passion for travel, going to festivals and watching live bands. Karen is one of our crazy cat ladies and loves her two Ragdolls Hugo and Pedro.
Lizzie

Lizzie joined our receptionist team in 2024. Lizzie enjoys every aspect of her role but her favourite part is welcoming in all patients with a huge smile on her face. Lizzie joins our team of crazy cat ladies with her Bengal Stanley. Outside of work Lizzie enjoys countryside walks, camping and nice evenings with her partner and Stanley watching movies.
